A typography assignment ‘All about one thing.’ My designs are all about how the typeface Dala Floda was inspired by aged and decayed gravestones. I depicted my theme through the use of plaster and pvc. Through extreme trial and error and various printing methods, my final designs represent a timeline of how the traditional gravestone typography influenced the contemporary typeface Dala Floda. The plaques are designed to also be read stacked on top of each other, reinforcing the theme of tradition influencing contemporary design.
