DATKH Dancer Costume

  • Alex Babec
A costume make from my own design of a Ball Dancer in the play Death and the King's Horseman.

The costume includes a corset, panniers, a bodice, three skirts, gloves, shoes, tights, and a headdress.

A wide range of techniques were used including dyeing, painting, patchwork, solder dripping, textile pattern drafting, cutting on the stand, and hat blocking.

The first set of photos were taken on 29 January, 2015 during the Costume Parade at Wimbledon College of Art.

The next set of photos were taken on 11 May, 2015 during the Wimbledon College of Art Costume Parade at Windsor Castle.
