Desi Rascals is a reality drama series that tells the story of a modern, dynamic and aspirational group of British Asians across a range of ages as they navigate their social, professional and family lives in a fast changing community.

The series is being shot over six weeks on the Arri Amira. During this period, The Farm will receive more than 1200 hours of footage and have three days to cut each 60 min episode.

Graded on the Nucoda Film Master, onlined in Avid Symphony and mixed with Pro Tools 11, The Farm’s craft team have used a range of techniques to give the show its unique look and sound. Graded with complimentary colours in mind, some greens were replaced with orange and cyan before adding glow and saturation. The sound team used a variety of plugins, including the latest Izotope RX4 Noise Reduction software. Specifically, the Declicker, Spectral Repair and Dialogue Denoiser features were used to help the dialogue drive the show forward.

Moreover, having a tracklay, mixing studio, online and grading suite running concurrently enabled The Farm to keep within the fast turnaround schedule.
