BRIEF
To design and provide a counter narrative that encourages interaction, communication and a positive change in the way in which Hatfield Plaza, Pretoria (South Africa) is seen and experienced by locals and foreigners.
CONCEPT
A name dignifies a person. The Car Guardians name badge initiative aims to create a space where positive interaction and communication can take place between drivers and the car guards on Burnett street in Hatfield through the simple act of wearing a name badge.In addition to this idea, I designed a map that profiles who guards the different parking bays during the day. The profiling describes a brief background of each car guard thus encouraging further communication and meaningful interaction. I designed name badges for each car guard. I am hoping this initiative will lead to the formation of more personal relationships.
