Cultural, social and political issues have made huge impact on design, advertising and the world around us. Within the book we recognise the key turning points in history that have formed iconic changes in design, since 1860.
As a team our task was to design the publication and gather information about design and ethics within graphic design. Each of us focused on a period of history to research and produce a written piece that can form a publication. My chapter examined ethical issues around the world including 'The Suffragettes', the 'Russian Revolution and the 'Chinese Revolution'. Specifically examining how design was used to help, influence or even provoke people into action.
