Disturbance

Interactive multiscreen video installation about the consequences of getting into somebody's conversation.

Insight
The Arts, Technology & Culture course's assignment asked for a proposal for an interactive installation, once again I went one step beyond using the multiscreen resources of the university to develop the actual installation.

Idea
The concept behind the work is exploring the reaction of the viewers when they trigger an unexpected reaction from the artwork, an involuntary interaction in what it seems to be a passive video installation.
The lure in this case was the disposition of the screens which didn't allow the viewers to fully see the video contents unless they stepped into the interactive zone in between the two screens. In that zone a pressure mat would stop the current video and play another one displaying a random reaction from the characters.

Role
This was a solo project, the videos with the conversation and the different reactions were shot in a camping place during the mid-semester break using my sister and myself as acting roles and edited in Final Cut Studio.
