A new strategy and identity for an already existing product.
School assignment 2015, BA Design, Academy of Art and Design St. Joost, The Netherlands.
As an already existing product, I picked the ‘retro mobile phone’ ( think indestructible Nokia 3310 ), which I was still using at the time.
I chose the name ‘DIT’ based on the essence of the product, no extras, no internet. This is how I got to the very basic ( Dutch ) name: ‘De Internetloze Telefoon’ – DIT ( ‘The internet-less Phone, This ).
DIT has turned out to be a very vibrant identity where you will see nothing more than what is necessary, just like the phones. DIT is young, bright and bold, wanting to stand out as much as its audience.
