Don’t say the S word is a visual documentary piece that aims to shed light on the increasing number of young women in the UK who suffer from either anxiety or depression. However, the fear of appearing weak or inferior in a generation that strives for perfection prohibits them from asking for help or feeling accepted within society. The S word being ‘sad’ devalues the magnitude of the disorder to one emotion that doesn't quantify or summarise the true depths of depression nor anxiety.
