Dormant Death

As part of my final year graduate show, and a life time journey of learning and experimenting, Dormant Death is a fully immersive interactive space that combines the past materiality of terracotta, among the future digital, interactive code that reacts to your voice. Guests are co-producers, in which they are able to submit their own questions to the dead via a postcard before entering the room of suspended soul containers, each individualised, representing the diversity of existence. Once inside, you are encouraged to speak to your ancestor, with the reactive code image vividly reacting to your every sound, your ancestors acknowledge you, and speak back. Will you listen?
