Dreamland

‘Dreamland’ is an amusement park located in Margate, Kent. Following an 11-year ‘Save Dreamland’ campaign, the park is due to reopen this summer.

Originally Margate flourished because of the train line links from London to the seaside. Dreamland was a key attraction for the town and its decline reflected the decline of the town itself. The introduction of the high speed rail link has reestablished the connection between London and Margate and the reopening of Dreamland is the final part of the rejuvenation of the town.

I have designed a series of advertisements to promote the reopening of Dreamland, high lighting the buildings that have become derelict. With the approaching reopening of Dreamland I wanted to promote the Southeastern high speed train directly from St Pancras to Margate.
