Drumhill Team-Building Day

On the 20th January 2016, Level 3 Fashion Retail was taken to the scouting camp of Drumhill on a team building day. At the start of the day we were introduced to our project leader and shown over the plan of activities for the day. These included tasks such as standing on a plank in two teams and having to change positions without falling off - having to work together in order to accomoplish this, aswell as partaking in an orienteering and cooking. All these activites were in place to allow us to work better as a team. One member of each assigned team was made the 'group leader' by the group and had to take all the instructions and pass them onto their team - as in a real life management situation.
Before we were split into our teams and before we started any activities, we filled out a questionaire about ourselves and then at the end of the day, we addressed it again. This included how we would grade ourselves on our leadership skills, our tolerence levels, and other things along those lines. The idea of the day was to see if these scores could be bettered and if so by exactly how much.
