Dukkan media is a multi-platform media company that aims to set the benchmark for regional storytelling in Dubai and the Middle East.
After the initial approach from the Client, a Skype conversation was scheduled to have an in-depth meeting about the requirements of the website, the message it needed to convey and the role it served to its customer base.
The conversation also touched on the style aspects of the website such as fonts, styles, basic layout structure, visual language etc. Brand guidelines were discussed and the client made it clear that the look and feel had to reflect Arab youth, heritage and culture.
We explored Instagram for inspiration of Arab youth culture and learn what speaks to the target audience so we could reflect that on the website.
Once the layout and structure had been agreed upin, the focus was shifted on to the user interface design of the website.
The design process was done on Adobe Photoshop while the prototyping and initial flow of the website was presented on Adobe XD.
The website was then built on Wordpress, working off a premium theme, I designed and developed the website to be mobile first and replicated the designs made in Adobe Photoshop and XD.
