Easyvoyage: City, Country and Region Guides

During my time at Easyvoyage as Junior Editor I created introductions for many of the magazine’s city, country and region guides in order to capture the reader’s attention and encourage them to discover more about the place. Below are a few examples of my work.
At the heart of the Indonesian archipelago in the Indian Ocean, Bali is a renowned paradisiacal tourism destination. With beautiful rice fields, dramatic chains of volcanos and white sand beaches surrounded by turquoise waters, Bali has a varied landscape that provides a picturesque backdrop to its inestimable cultural heritage. This island offers something for all; from luxurious hotels to ambient backpacker hostels and the opportunity to do world-class surfing, diving and visit endless cultural, historical and archaeological attractions. But Bali is not just a delight for the senses, its uniqueness lies in its spirit.
For many, England is synonymous with its dynamic capital, London. But the country of Robin Hood, Merlin and King Arthur spreads far beyond the shadow of Big Ben. From the gardens of Kent to the poetic Lake District, from Cornwall's stunning coast to the Isle of Wight, this small island nation needs more than one trip to be explored as it deserves.
Zanzibar is the main island of the archipelago 15 miles off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. The Persian origin of the name Zanzibar means "the black coast", whilst the Arabic origin means "fair is this land". Both these names give away something of this island's identity, from its rich history to its striking beauty. Surrounded by long white sand beaches, some of Africa's best coral reefs and deserted islands untouched by tourists, Zanzibar truly is a paradise.
