EDITORIAL DESIGN & ARTWORK – Für Sheila

Editorial design and artwork for the German book "Für Sheila", a collection of poems by the author Marie Bayer. The linen binding with thread stitching gives the book its artistic touch, the typography is simple and elegant and the poems and pictures speak for themselves. The detailed shots of my canvas pictures, which are mainly characterized by rough brushstrokes, support the sensitive poems by the author. These are two opposites that complement each other in one book. The book is divided into three chapters: sprout - bloom & light up - die. Just like life itself. The author's passion for the conscious use of resources played a key role in the choice of paper and material - so a recycled offset paper was chosen, made from 100% recycled fibers.
