A fabulous evening was had on Thursday 15th June as Merton Chamber of Commerce celebrated 25  years at its AGM and Networking Evening. Taking place at the picturesque Hotel Du Vin, Cannizaro House, the sun was shining, spirits were high and businesses from across the borough heard from Chief Executive Diana Sterck and new Chair Victoria Nicol, of Merton Chamber’s achievements to date and plans for the future.
Guests heard that Merton Chamber recently launched a new ‘Y-our Office’ meeting room hire service at our Tuition House address in central Wimbledon; ‘The Sounding Board’, which is a new offering, giving selected participants the opportunity for collaborative thinking, peer learning and support with likeminded, non-competing, business leaders who face similar challenges.  One year on, guests heard about the success of our new Premier membership offer, and Neil Chandler, General Manager of New Wimbledon Theatre spoke of the benefits the theatre has gained from their Premier membership, including the invaluable help and support received from Merton Chamber and the connections they have made with the local and business community through our events and relationship building.
With nearly 600 members, Merton Chamber of Commerce is the largest area based Chamber in London. CEO Diana Sterck said at the AGM:
“We have built a reputation as being a creative and innovative business and one that responds to local business needs. Our new service offering, including meeting room hire, a virtual office and business growth services are all there for the taking. Find out more at www.mertonchamber.co.uk.”
