Co-Founder - Electric Peacock Festival, Sri Lanka (Dec 2010 – Present)

Co-Founded Sri Lanka’s first international music festival, bringing together some of the top billing names in electronic, rap and indie music, including Grammy award winning artists Roger Sanchez, Basement Jaxx and Tinie Tempah. Key responsibilities include sourcing artists, sponsorship, event production and promotion of the festival including all social media and content for the event. Since its inception the festival has grown by 400%, with over 5000 people attending in 2013. The event has gotten global publicity including being covered by the BBC World Service and DJ Magazine.

Key Responsibilities:
• Creation of the festival, it's vision and its future goals
• Development of the brand, from name to logo and brand application
• Branding and promotion for the festival
• Scouting and negotiating with talent
• Sponsorship; securing all funding - cash and in kind
• All aspects of production – including filming and equipment sourcing
• Overseeing the legal contracts
• Budgets and invoicing as well as all financial reconciliation

Key Achievements:
• Bringing International talent like Tinie Tempah, Roger Sanchez and Basement Jaxx to Sri Lanka
• Creating a significant impact on the local music scene
• Building strong personal relationships with William Morris Endeavour and Primary Talent International
• Developing a network of artists locally and internationally who support our vision to create an entertainment industry in Sri Lanka and South Asia
• Expanding our festival offering to the South Asian region; attracting festival goers from India and Maldives
• In three years, the festival has grown by 400% in terms of festival attendees and ticket sales
