ELLIOTT WILCOX SHOOTS FOR HUNGER TV

  • Beverley Luckings
The FIFA World Cup is now within kicking distance, and in honour of the occasion, Elliott Wilcox has decided to combine the two spheres of football and fashion, for a unique Hunger TV shoot.

It’s pretty easy to guess that Elliott Wilcox is a sports fan from his Tonic Reps bio and portfolio. It’s bursting with iconic names like Adidas, Nike Football, Umbro and Timberland, to name a few. But it’s football that takes pride of place on his mantelpiece. Elliott says: ‘The World Cup is such a positive thing, it’s full of skill, solidarity and it brings people from all walks of life together. I really wanted to show this in my shoot, so it was important for me to use a cast with a mix of different genders and ethnicities. Plus putting my stamp on the build up to this global event was really exciting. I loved every second of this one!’ And this 2018, featuring a range of past world cup football shirts and a diverse cast of models, Elliott puts some high fashion swag into the football aesthetic in a shoot for Hunger TV. But this merge of sports meets fashion isn’t new and has already produced some really exciting names. So, with this in mind, Elliott played with this growing trend by adding a vintage style meets modern mix; The old school sports items blended with the fashion trends of today, offers a unique aesthetic that harks back to the sports heritage with a contemporary twang.

Hunger TV says: ‘The World Cup is a huge cultural event, so we really wanted to shoot something that looked at it in a new light. This is a simple, striking fashion shoot with a message of diversity underneath and a respect for its history. Elliott combined these ideas into one project with effortless style.’ However, don’t be fooled, he is not a one trick pony! With other names on his list like Urban Outfitters, The Telegraph, Karen Miller, Mulberry, Hypebeast, Katherine Hamnett, and Wonderland magazine, he’s a unique voice in the youth culture of today. ‘I’m fascinated by people with a drive. Whether it’s a football fanatic, a budding musician, or a skateboarding star, if they have a passion, then I want to take a photo of them.’ Elliott Wilcox.
