Email and newsletter copywriting | Copper & Silk

Copper & Silk are high-end lighting brand and lampshade maker based in Kent. They design and manufacture every piece by hand with craftsmanship that is second to none. Copper & Silk needed to raise their profile in the competitive interiors market, as well as engage their customers to increase sales. To do this, I created a content schedule including regular product email blasts, e-newsletters and online press releases. Each piece of copy was subtly peppered with carefully chosen keywords, designed to drive traffic to their website and had a unique call to action. Emails, e-newsletters and online press releases helped to establish Copper & Silk as major players in the interiors community and lead to collaborations and features with House & Garden, House Beautiful USA, Ptolemy Mann and A Rum Fellow. These lampshade will be a departure from traditional ikat colours and patterns; replacing muted hues with bold brights and contemporary designs. This collection of ikat lampshades will appear alongside a range of Copper & Silk's new lighting at Decorex International from 21st September-24th September (stand K40) After initially working together on the Weavers episode of Monty Don's Hard Craft (aired on More 4 on 19th May) Ptolemy Mann and Copper & Silk decided to take their collaboration to the next level - creating a capsule collection of luxurious lampshades with contemporary ikat designs; bringing the current ikat trend up to date. The full collection comprises of Copper & Silk's handcrafted lampshades, covered in unique fabric designs in Ptolemy's distinctive style. The designs vary from some of Ptolemy's signature patterns, to original designs and colour combinations made exclusively in collaboration with Copper & Silk. The lampshades themselves will be a selection of popular pleated and smooth styles from Copper & Silk's custom range. Each style will be available in multiple sizes and the full range of ikat style fabrics and colour-ways. These fabrics are high-quality cotton with a printed satin finish, with excellent depth of colour.
