Seed Special for Christmas:
The school hall was a beacon against the long, sunless winter. Most of the village was crammed into the building, waiting to see their little angels reciting Christmas carols as they did every year.
Kitana was nervous, longing for it to be over. The other girls teased her relentlessly since they moved here from the city, for her shabby clothes, for her emotional outbursts. She was always somewhere else, dreaming of dog sledding with her brother.
The candles and stars didn’t bring any cheer to her exile. Kitana was plotting her escape – but she needed an ally.
