Enliven History

  • Chelsea Douglas

Wanting to bring the term "history to life" to a literal sense, Chelsea focuses on the Royal Engineers during the Second World War. Using a technique to animate still image that was captured in 1943 from The Royal Engineers Museum Libary and Archives, Chelsea brings the scene to life with an interactive experience of a typical 1930s/40s living room, capturing the moment of when the declaration of war was first announced by Neville Chamberlain on the 3rd of September 1939, broadcast in homes across the nation. This installation was exhibited at The Royal Engineers Museum in Gillingham, Kent on the 10th January- 21st April 2019.
