Exhibition Branding

  • Michael Pester
In the nine years I spent at The Dowse Art Museum I designed brands for around 150 exhibitions.
This was usually a logotype that was then applied to one or more gallery walls, the building wayfinding, as well as some combination of advertising collateral. The brand's style may also be carried through to one or more layers of introduction text, wall labels and sometimes publications, always making sure to balance the show's branding with that of the institution.
