FACES OF MUSTANG - London exhibition

In the summer of 2016 photographer Marcus Bastel travelled through 26 US states taking portraits of Mustang owners and talking to them about life, their cars and adventures had with those.
Among them were a racer from Alabama who strapped on his gun before stepping out of his house for a chat; a ‘real Daisy Duke’ from Colorado; a mother who was barred from driving demolition derby for being too aggressive; and Bruce and Dave, friends who were still fixing the same cars together 30 years on.
After an 8070 mile road trip across America last summer he is presenting portraits, stories and sound bites from the interviews conducted. I have uploaded interview excerpts to Soundcloud so if you want to have a listen take the link below or visit my website marcusbastel.com
The project was supported by a Kickstarter campaign, FORD, GTB Detroit, Pabst Blue Ribbon, REFRESH CSM and my credit card.
The exhibition is open from 9:00 - 22:00 , Monday to Sunday 8th August - 5th September at the CSM Window Gallery, Central Saint Martins, Granary Building, 1 Granary Square, King's Cross, London N1C 4AA
