FACT was an influential music magazine which ran from 2003 to 2009. It was published by The Vinyl Factory, who briefed Paul and fellow art director Dan Moscrop to produce a fanzine-style publication which would appeal to collectors of vinyl records.
They came up with a seven-inch format, with early editions packaged in individual record sleeve slipcases. The style was rough and ready, and the mag quickly won admirers.
Although the budget was neglible, FACT was much admired, and Pensom/Moscrop were able to commission some big names for the covers, including Peter Saville, Shepard Fairey, Trevor Jackson and Julian House of Ghost Box and Intro.
