Within this project I wanted to look at something beautiful, but that had an edge to it. My concept was based around the character of Miss Havisham from 'Great Expectations' and I utilised a dusty colour palette to reflect this. Wilted florals provided content to use in still life drawings and taking my own photographs for visual research allowed me to create a bank of inspirational references.
Within this project I began to look at the cross over of installation art pieces and interior textiles. I developed digital prints, placement as well as repeat and embellished some of these with hand embriodery. In addition, I explored 3D design, experiementing with resin.
