In a time of much division, in which migration is a large part of contemporary discourse, it is ever more important to remind ourselves of our own connections with migration in any definition of the term and therefore the shared humanity we have with those we may only see as images in the news or statistics. It is time to celebrate how the culture we call ‘ours’ has been shaped by the movement of people, and their strength and human spirit. Faraway Fantasia is an event celebrating migration through music. It enables people to experience classical music and their own connection with migration in any definition of the term in a new way. The Faraway brand promotes empathy and celebration through the facilitation of communal interactions and collaboration, and a vibrant, human-centred visual identity.
