“The word decadence, which means simply "decline" in an abstract sense, is now most often used to refer to a perceived decay in standards."Fields of Decadence is about to reject norms of the society and the industry had built. Instead of the desire of being part of the world, it removes the idea and creates its own universe. The garments are inspired from the flamboyant female persona of Edie Bouvier Beale. It celebrates Beale as the ultimate muse and anti character, who fell completely off the society, having no guidelines to follow. The designs are trying to portray the decay of an aristocratic era, which eventually would become lustful, distracted and faceless. Materials used are all ranges of wearable PVC made into beautifully constructed liquid gloss oversized Jackets matched up with tight trousers and skirts with super high waist which could be a contemporary version of body shaping corsets, all made out from Latex. Targeting the “off trend” costumer, for whom it is more valuable experience, to occasionally wear a pieces of conceptual art, rather than just pieces of random cloths.
