Fireside was a branding brief to design an identity for a new art institution. I wanted to create a brand which felt inclusive and friendly which was based on strong colours and bold graphics. I firmly believe that art is for everyone, so I wanted to create a brand which would reach as many people as possible.
‘Fireside’ comes from the idea of sharing stories and ideas. Since we can remember, the fireside and camp-fires have always been places for people to congregate, get warm and share ideas and opinions usually with family and friends. Fireside’s have always held a sense of community and that is the exact feeling Fireside wants to offer, a place for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to experience art and design without judgement or feeling like they don't belong.
