Flower Anthem

Pitchfork:
"Here's a video accompaniment to
Washed Out's
recent Daytrotter session, in which he performed Within and Without's "Amor Fati", along with Life of Leisure EP cuts "Feel It All Around" and "You'll See It". The video is called "Flower Anthem".

Directed by Karina Eibatova, it features a one-shot, slow-motion take of a woman taking flowers out of her mouth and putting them on her face. So if Washed Out's music ever brought to your mind the image of a woman taking flowers out of her mouth and putting them on her face... you're welcome."

"Floral Anthem" is a videoact, it is a metaphor of returning back into the paradise. It is a transformation into the state, where woman’s nature is pure, absolutely gorgeous, natural and it blooms by itself, without any violence from the external factors.

This video was exhibited twice, on the following exhibitions:
Berlin show "IMPULSE"; AANDO FINE ART Gallery. July 2 – August 26, 2011
Moscow International Biennale for Young Art "Qui Vive?", July - August 2010.
