Footy Addicts is a cross between football, technology and social media, similar to exciting user to user sites like Airbnb or BlaBlaCar. Here you can create or join football matches either private or open to public within your local area. Footy Addicts initially started from a meetup group and has expanded into their own website. As a personal project, I took the visual design and brand in a different direction. The confident use of colour, typography and the new logo create an energised and contemporary brand. Ideal for an audience that uses digital to add to their sporting lifestyle. I explored how gamification could be used to engage users even further. For example, setting goals, earning achievements and rewarding users for their commitment. Responsive design was also another essential improvement. A lot of their traffic stems from social media, which is often viewed on mobile devices.
