Forwards not Backwards

This project was inspired by concerns such as overconsumpution and the effects of inescapable advertising. The model at 7ft high and 4 ft wide, depicts how advertising extends beyond conscious placement. The style came to be after researching into the psychological effects of colour, and the tangible nature of hand crafted design.

A series of six infographic posters were also created as part of this project. These allowed the relevant facts and information to be conveyed, but also ensured these facts weren't overlooked (something that happens frequently to information in this subject matter). The model and the posters also created an opportunity to think more deeply about issues such as the inequality of pay, pollution and the debt created through overconsumption.

Both the model and posters were exhibited in a number of shows, including a dedicated show in Shoreditch, London
