This was a packaging brief for a boutique and luxury product. The project involved coming up with a product, a brand mark, an overall look and the brand story.
My chosen product was to brand a luxurious fragranced diffuser that smells amazing.
'upon a time' is a brand name derived from the idea that wonderful scents could bring you back to a happy memory. This brand is all about recreating that moment of a time when you still believe in magic in your childhood, because it smells amazing. So the challenge was to allow MAGIC and CHILDHOOD to speak to the audiences and dominate the overall look and feel.
The challenge is met in the way the product is packaged - clean and reminiscent of children's book. In consolidating the concept of 'believing in magic', I introduced a range of additional 'spells' for the buyers to customise their own unique scent in the diffuser.
