From My Garden - Zine

From My Garden was created during the Covid-19 pandemic, as a response to our lockdown measures. A lot of my work is inspired by the everyday, whether its location or situation or simply personal. This project was created so I could give back to my local community in East Sussex, as a lot of my neighbours are elderly or vulnerable so the lockdown made the everyday quite limiting for them. This project focuses on close up studies of nature and natural textures to offer insight at new ways of looking at the everyday. This project was created using my own garden for visuals, and uses technology and QR codes to offer unseen insights into my zine, by linking manipulated documentary film as an emphasis on looking at the everyday in a new perspective. This Zine was then printed and safely distributed to my neighbours as a form of giving back to the community in this pandemic.
