Global Citizen: Female Pumpkin Farmers in Uganda

I spent 3 days on location in rural Uganda, in the region of Mbale, shooting this documentary for Global Citizens about Fatuma Namatosi, a woman who is trains women to run their own pumpkin farms, to both financially empower women and single mothers, and then buys the pumpkins from them to then turn into products such as pumpkin porridge, to tackle stunting in children in the region, as well as visiting and educating villages about the importance of nutrition and balanced diets. A moving and impactful film capturing the sustainable way African's themselves are using grass roots innovation and social impact work to make the change they want to see in their own communities.
