Baird and Co. is the UK's only Gold refinery. The Gold they produce is 99.99 purity. (the highest that can be achieved) A family owned business since 1967 and contributes to 75% of the UK's Gold. After several processes the gold is 'Acid Attacked' to produce a Gold soup which is dried into sand. The Sand is then heated to 12000 degrees celsius and poured through a giant sieve into specially treated water to make Gold "rain' droplets which is then dried to be pressed into Gold bars and coins
