Gorilla’s Maxim Young works with Turner prize winner Mark Leckey on his new film Dream English Kid 1964 - 1999AD now showing at the Cabinet Gallery, London.

  • Maxim Young
This new autobiographical film attempts to create a record of all the significant events in Leckey’s life during the late 20th Century through found traces of film, adverts and popular music.

Selected sections of this dazzling array of juxtapositions were treated, cut up & tweaked by Maxim Young and his assistant Mdhamiri a Nkemi allowing the artist the freedom to work his magic in creating this truly outstanding masterpiece.

"Whenever Mark Leckey opens a show it is going to be top of the list.
The faithful will be coming, however, to see this genius artist whose recent work has been juggling our relationship to technology and the history of art.”
