'Folding Figures' is inspired by the naive, free drawings of the Bouroullec Brothers as well as the playful process of Anton Alvarez's 'thread wrapped' chairs. "I looked at mexican square pattern-cutting and developed my designs to be cut with minimal seams, wrapping and folding around the body in a primitive yet modern way. The result is a collection of simple silhouettes with playful detail in the function of seams and pockets."
