Graduate portfolio presenting two collections created during my final year at Leeds Arts University. ‘Watercolour Tropics’ is a collection created for high-street womenswear fashion, focussed on an exotic tropical theme. The designs explore a beautiful array of tropical florals and leaves, using a rich and bright colour palette, that reflects the vibrant and lively nature of a tropical environment. Each composition has been carefully hand painted with watercolour inks and then edited into a final design digitally, with the collection showcasing a mixture of highly detailed all-over repeat patterns and large-scale placement prints. 'Monochrome Blow Ups' is an A/W 21/22 capsule collection created for a live brief with the company Patternbank. Aimed at a high end womenswear fashion market, this collection combines detailed floral studies with bold digitally drawn elements in order to create striking and eye-catching designs.
