The word "mandala" derives from the Indian language of Sanskrit; Mandala"circle," and represents the universe through a cosmic shapes that celebrate wholeness and the sacred ideals of space. The Mandalanimal plays tribute to this traditional symbolism; however focuses on the importance of animals. At the centre of the circle appears a male and female figure, united by love illustrated by the heart dividing them. Different animals surround the core symbolising their protection of the human animal. They also represent education and wisdom in which we know is fundamental in our existence. This sacred space, allows us to respect the animals we co-inhabit the earth with, and take sometime to look further at the way we behave.
