Great Ormond Street Hospital now has a new temporary entrance in preparation to build the new Children's Cancer Centre. As a result, we needed a new navigation system for patients, families and visitors to use to find their way around the hospital. I designed this new system that aimed to create a calm, considered and friendly way for young people to interact with the hospital navigation, to make their trip to hospital a little less daunting. By following the illustrations, or tracing a finger along the dotted line of the rocket in flight, you can find your way through the hospital, not just by reading signs, but by having a meaningful engagement with the space. We have already seen positive first hand feedback from young people using this new navigation system.
