Two | H.P.S - 2012 - Pointillism - 3D Design - Art - 245mm x 165mm This piece has a special element by adding 3D elements from inspiration from architecture, model making and experiences producing vector artwork. The illustration beneath is applied by a 0.2 grey and black pen and I used the technique of pointillism. The image I used is referenced from personal photography shot with film in Hyde Park. Raised above, are laser cut outs of MDF and red acrylic, drawn and designed on illustrator. Some parts are raised with piano wire and there are layers of cut outs applied to help with the structure. The piece is to symbolise synchronicity of two, merging and the connection of two, the symmetry and geometry are key factors to the design and representation. This art piece took the longest out of my collection from illustrating the base, designing the 3D layers, laser cutting and putting all the parts together carefully in a neat clean way.
