Hackney Gazelles

Hackney Gazelles is the wxmen's basketball club I founded in 2015. Now in its fourth season, the spring/summer initiative welcomes women of all skill levels. Our main objective is to create a fun, safe, non-hierarchical environment for female basketball enthusiasts to come and play ball. Hackney Gazelles also functions as a creative collective; utilising its pool of talented female producers, photographers, stylists and writers for collaborations with brands such as Nike and Champ Magazine. As the Hackney Gazelles’ diverse community of women widens, so does the scope of its ability to positively and honestly change the conversation surrounding women and their relationship with sports.
