HARMONY

personal collection Role: Creative director / Fashion designer Collection HARMONY, was based on deep research to find your own philosophy of harmony with environment around. Digging into this key idea influenced to search for it in different fields to understand what is and was harmony for humans. Ancient knowledge of golden ratio, aesthetic tranquility that brings unity in every particle of universe, brought counting into the pattern making process, ideally to make garments fit into universal flow. Wholeness with surroundings in Baltic religion, that had a strong impact in my own development, with its ideas and pure love for nature and environment left me speechless, how beautiful minded and caring my ancestors were, how much they appreciated what they receive and what they gave back. This deeper acquaintanceship led me into a minimalistic path, finding comfort, organic and complex shapes as well as cultural symbols as decorations for collection. Occurred peacefulness in practitioners of the Land Art movement shared glimpses of pure selfless and power of being here and now, finding fellowship by sharing the beauty of mother nature with creativity of the mind. The purity of it, inspired me to use nature gifts to create an accessories using traditional Baltic craftsmanship, growing plants on backpacks with the idea to not just use air, but create it in the same moment and even let go of shoes, to feel and understand that we are one with nature. And last, but not least in this venture to find own harmony, was beautiful dream and goal of urban architecture to create sustainable buildings, that produce more energy then they need themselves so it could be shared, constantly going by their own and even sharing space with nature by collaborating and caring of each other. Lead me to make this collection for urban user, with goal to show that we can and should share this being of now with that what is always around us. So based on all of there philosophy I got an understanding, how incredible it is, to find this beautiful harmony between humans and the planet and allot these ideas guided me throughout the creative process.
