The Hatfield Aerodrome Heritage Trail is a historical trail situated in Hatfield, Hertfordshire that has great historical significance. Along the trail, the walker will find nature boards that are there to give the viewer a larger insight into the historical significance around the trail and about how Hatfield was the base of which much of the military training, research and development had taken place during World War 2 [1].
This project is based around creating a more connected and interactive trail that allows the user to use new technology to enhance their learning potential. This is based in the form of a newly designed website based around the trail which has the primary role of promoting and providing research to those who wish to view the trail in the future.
A Windows Phone 8 Application is also being developed to fit the needs of the younger target market who may want to use their own Windows Phone 8 device to enhance their on-site learning by providing the student with more information that can be accessed from the trail.
