Healthlocker is a responsive web app aiming to improve communication & transparency in care. To support service users to self-manage, to enable carers to be heard, bring efficiencies to clinical work and to make use of data gathered to inform the future delivery of care

With over 800 hours of user research informing design decisions and truly iterative design sprints, the users were at the heart of the final product. They were instrumental in creating the product they needed and wanted to have as part of their daily routines. Over 440 clinicians were voices in the design process, informing design decisions from the position of care.
Giving service users ownership over their health and access to their personal health records shifted the power and allowed care to become collaborative.
The product mission was to make managing your mental health approachable, simple and fun, hence the development of the brand with its playful nature. As the product developed from Foundation, through Alpha, Beta and to live, it was then adapted rolled out through multiple NHS Trusts across the UK.

A comprehensive style guide was created and iterated upon as the brand grew and user feedback influenced design. This aided in the communication between the design and development teams. AAA Accessibility guidelines were adhered to and, in turn influenced design decisions and design.
