Heartbreak Hotel - Visual Identity

In 2017 we began working with founders of coffee shop start-up Heartbreak Hotel to create a design direction and brand identity with a twist. Situated in the surf capital of North Devon and initially launched directly outside an abandoned hotel which was rumoured locally to have cursed many relationships, the new venture was aptly named, Heartbreak Hotel. Using this as a starting point and loosely inspired by a clash of 80’s Californian surf culture combined with a tongue in cheek approach, the visual identity was born.
