Hearty Insect Stock Pods

Problem
Western communities find the consumption of insects repulsive and not within our traditions. Insects offer greater protein and nutritional value than that of livestock, kilogram for kilogram. Finding a way to introduce the new cuisine subtly and in a non-novelty format will be key to changing perceptions about this nutritious food.
Insight
When cooking food, nutrients are lost. More nutrients are lost than others depending on the cooking method.
Solution
A range of stock pots that aim to flip the market on its head, whilst replacing the nutrients replaced when cooking in order to give people the healthiest meals possible. A further app extension aims to educate the consumer and integrate insects into their diet as smoothly as possible.
Audience
Adults of any age who love to cook.

Packaging
Packaging types for Hearty. Branding and packaging takes a subtle approach towards insect consumption. Stock pods are shaped to resemble larvae in order to split contents into four portions.
Brand extension

An app was created in order to inform the user on what they could pair the insect stock pods with, as according to what ingredients they had in their house.
