Shady Grove Restaurant launched a clothing line celebrating Old Austin heritage. According to legend, Stephen F. Austin signed the first boundary treaty with Native Americans in the Council of Oaks. Today, one tree, known as the Treaty Oak, remains in downtown Austin. To commemorate Austin’s origins, the logo features an acorn with elements of the Texas flag. The type is designed to suggest rope, which is featured in the restaurant’s main logo.
