Hexagonal Shelter

A group project with the brief of creating a shelter within 5 hours, from a set list of materials including: tape, metal wire, fishing string, cardboard, paper, scissors. We started with the idea of a hexagon because there were 6 of us in the group, and we chose the location of the piece based on the fact that we could hang it from the ceiling. Through good communication and teamwork we were able to construct each piece and combine them on a flat surface before tying different sections to the ceiling. Finally we were able to communicate well with others to find more resources, such as a hole puncher, and a light to create an impacting visual effect. We then presented the concept to the rest of the workshop group, and explain our thought process throughout the project.
