Hoomi Bricks

  • Jess Macdonald

A product and packaging design project, Hoomi bricks are an alternative to a plant pot. Entirely conceptual, they come in 3 different sizes and can be stacked in any way the consumer sees fit to grow their plant of choice. The packaging consists of a simple cardboard band to showcase most of the product with the instructions printed on the inside. Variations of the word "humi" or "hummus" means "on the ground" or "from the soil" so we played on the spelling to encompass the circular studs that become the joining elements of the bricks.
