Huichiol Sacred Desert Mountain Artist Residency

In my second year at UAL was experimental risktaking and residencies, so I found a western shaman living in the St Lewis Potosi Desert famed for a cactus called peyote much honored sacred healer and inspirer of artists, my first requirment was a visit to the Temples at Teotihwakan to conduct a male rite of passage ceremony to honor the God quetzicatol.
After this I was taught how to connect to the land with stones that symbols of light blown into them and utilising a point system of elements, directions, and guides comprising of a circle and a cross.
Below lines of stones transformed into a pentagram which I sat inside to meditate.

The Ritual ceremony as a male rite of passage, I gave an energy of self here in payment, as you give you recive it felt like destiny the world dissapereared into silence.
In the encampment we could not take images of private rituals, I walked into and out of this stone maze, and after that ran with the Shamans dog into the open desert at 5am every morning.
My home for one month.
